Boarding:

June through October: $560.00 per month

November through May: 560.00 per month plus hay fee (market price)

Boarding fee includes:

  •      Our standard feed is Southern States Reliance Pellet
  •  We also offer premium feeds at cost to our boarders. Currently we offer
  • Southern States Legends Performance Textured
  • Triple Crown Training Formula
  • Triple Crown Senior Formula
  • Triple Crown Lite
  •  Quality Timothy & Timothy blend hay while stabled. We will give your horse as much hay as they will finish while in. To assure consistent quality, we only buy from one source; and have been buying from that source for over a decade.
  •      Stall cleaning Monday - Saturday. Our Boarders either clean their own stalls on Sunday or make arrangements with the  Barn Manager to have the stall cleaned for a fee.
  •      Daily or nightly group turnout, depending on season. If your horse has special needs we will do our best to meet them. In the winter months we put out 2-3 round bales per field to ensure that there is enough to go around.
  •      Administration of supplements and medications (provided by owner). We are part of the Smartpak Barn Buddies program, and encourage our boarders to utilize this service. http://www.smartpak.com/
  •      Blanketing as appropriate to season.
  •      You are welcome to train with our in house trainer, Astrid "Star" Daley, or bring your own. Many of our boarders whom are event or dressage riders bring their own trainers in.
  • We are within easy hacking distance to the Blue Mash & Rachel Carson Parks; many of our boarders enjoy trail riding and hacking out together.
Prices are subject to change without notice.

Make up lessons will be granted when a student (or parents) has called one day before or when weather disrupts our program. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made because we coordinate our lesson plans days in advance. Allowing us the time to structure our lessons is important to our program. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation of this policy. Make-up lessons will not carry past 2 months.

When Oatland Stables cancels lessons, it will be announced on our voicemail at 301 977 5558. We follow Montgomery County School closures for bad weather.

All checks are to be made payable to Oatland Stables.

Our lesson horses are members of our family. Our horses and ponies are well-schooled and we do try our very best to match each rider with an appropriate mount. It has been our standard policy for years to make sure our students ride as many horses as they are capable of riding to maximize their riding potential.
